The scope of activities of CITAs Anti-Doping Department comprises professional tasks and assignments which are determined by international conventions on fight against doping in sport.
Djelatnost Službe za antidoping HZTA obuhvaća stručne poslove i zadatke koji su utvrđeni međunarodnim konvencijama o borbi protiv dopinga u sportu.
 

CITA systematically monitors and coordinates government and non-governmental organizations actions in fight against doping in sport, it proposes and implements measures to fight doping, implements international conventions and World Anti-Doping Code and rules of international federations and International Olympic Committee. It organizes and conducts doping controls in and out of competition and reviews and approves applications for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) in accordance with international regulations.

Our mission is to promote fair and clean sport through anti-doping activities. Special attention is given to education and prevention programs such as Athlete Outreach Program. Education is conducted in cooperation with sport organizations, national federations, sport clubs and schools. The goal is to provide athletes and athlete support personnel with useful information about harmful effects of doping and with other aspects of fight against doping like doping control, TUE, The Prohibited List, food supplements and Whereabouts program.

CITAs Anti-Doping Department is dedicated to fight against doping at national and international level. 

HZTA sustavno prati i koordinira akcije vladinih i nevladinih organizacija u borbi protiv dopinga u sportu, predlaže i provodi mjere u borbi protiv dopinga, primjenjuje konvencije i Kodeks Svjetske antidopinške agencije te pravila međunarodnih sportskih saveza i Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora. Organizira i provodi dopinške kontrole, kako na sportskim natjecanjima tako i izvan njih, te razmatra i odobrava terapijska izuzeća (TUE) u skladu s međunarodnim propisima.

Naša misija je promovirati čist i čestit sport provođenjem antidopinških aktivnosti. Posebnu pažnju posvećujemo edukaciji i preventivnim programima kao što je Athlete Outreach Program. Edukaciju provodimo u suradnji sa sportskim organizacijama, nacionalnim savezima, klubovima i školama. Cilj je upoznati sportaše i pomoćno osoblje sa štetnim učincima dopinga, te naravno svim ostalim aspektima dopinga kao što su dopinške kontrole, TUE, Popis zabranjenih sredstava, dodaci prehrani te podaci o lokaciji.

Osim na nacionalnom nivou, Služba za antidoping HZTA djeluje i na internacionalnom nivou.

Prevention and awareness-raising programs will be prepared and implemented for different target groups on grassroots level of sport:
- Primary and secondary schools students
- Participants at school sport competitions
- Members of junior teams in sport clubs or federations
- Participants in mass (recreational) sport events
- Teachers, parents, coaches, …
- Sport and general public

Following the footsteps of 17 South American countries, which, in cooperation with WADA and based on the Montevideo Declaration, declared 10th of April as "Play True Day”, all project partners (except iNADO) carried out numerous doping prevention activities on this day and in the week befor and after 10th of April 2016.. Prevention activities were implemented as part of different sport competitions or other events for youth and in close cooperation with community and sport organizations on local and regional level.
 
The purpose was to acquaint sport and public with global fight against doping.
